I love to fish. Every other year I try to take a week-long trip to the Boundry Waters. Most years I'm able
to get a few folk to come along, but once I took a one-week solo trip. Maybe some day I'll post my trip journals of
these trips.
Don't hold your breath.
I also fish in various places around home. I've got a canoe and a kayak. I don't use the kayak much anymore
now that my son's too big to sit in my lap without putting my legs to sleep. Ever try to exit a kayak with both legs
COMPLETELY numb? I'm sure it was hilarious to others who have seen my do it.

Boundry Waters Canoe Area Wilderness
For my BWCA trips I use Canoe Country Outfitters.

The boundary water area allows one to get as completely away from civilization as one can get unless they go to the desert.
But in the desert you won't see beaver, moose, and bear. Accidents happen in the wilderness. Two trips ago we
found the remains of an aluminum canoe that evidently capsized and was ripped in two by the current in a river between lakes.
One end made a great chimney flue and heat reflector.
